FO:3 to TTW Mod Conversion Video

Post by BelGarion » Wed Sep 18, 2013 2:13 am

Hello all! I created a video on how to convert Fallout: 3 mods to Tales of Two Wastelands. I show what you need to install first (the conversion script) and where to get it, how to convert the mod over to TTW, and lastly how to add DT to any armor the mod may contain. Then I load up FO:NV and show you the final product. :D Enjoy the video.

It's been brought to my attention that this video suggests recompiling all scripts at some point. DO. NOT. recompile all scripts. That recompiles every single script currently loaded into the GECK. Instead - open and save every script in the mod to recompile all of it's scripts. It's more time consuming, I know, but you'll save yourself alot of headaches. --TJ

I followed the video in this but when I get to the point where I have to load up the mod and masters in the GECK I get an error message that says "Multiple master files selected for load. Load operation aborted." I then tried loading just the mod and not the masters and got the same error message. Is there something obvious I'm not seeing, I am very new to the GECK and am probably making a stupid mistake.

You need to go to your GECKCustom.ini (in your ".../My Games/FalloutNV") and change the 0 in "bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=0" to 1 (like this "bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1" without the quote marks).

Restoring the greatest country in the world to its former glory, well, heh heh... Well, that takes time, even for the Enclave.

I've watched both videos and notice for me there is a slight difference. When I open up the GECK it already selects a bunch of files to load, where as in both video's above they had to manual select all the ESMs they wanted and then the PluginESP they were converting. So I deselect everything bar what is indicated in the video. Now when I click the button to load, it takes ages for the GECK to load all the data much like in both videos aboves but I get loads of pop-ups about errors/warnings and stuff and this I notice doesn't happen in either BelGarion's video or Roy Battys. Is there something wrong with my setup?
