Fallout TTW Modding Recomendation

Post by PipBoyBuddy » Wed Jan 01, 2014 10:52 pm

Hello Everyone!:) so yesterday. after spending the whole day installing new vegas from scratch and getting back personally loved mods. during the process and during the time i was on here. i decided once able, i shall make a thread Sharing and Describing Methods and Tricks i use, to install mods to your game More Easily

I'm sure you all have WinRar :) One Method i ALWAYS do that is Very Convenient and Less Time Consuming, is Turning all my favorite Downloaded mods into FoMods! This Is Really Simple!

Go Download a mod you like and make a new folder anywhere you choose. Title that folder  something like (Fallout Mods) now for Each mod you get. you should make a New Folder Titled the name of the Mod. within your new FO Mod folder. here is a SS so you get the idea. The fallout house and shelter pack. contains all the house and building mods i downloaded nmc mods contains all ncm required mods. etc etc.... All you do is. Place the Texture, mesh, esp, esm, etc Into An Appropriate folder

Then Select all files within that folder and Choose WinRar>Add To Archive, like shown Below

Then it'll ask your what name you want it Generally it'll be the same name as the folder. just click ok and wait for it to make the Rar. Once its made you shall see the Exact rar i have at the bottom. all you do then. is open your fomm or nmm. and locate the Rar through package manage. add and activate.. Now everytime you reinnstall the game. they shall always be in your Package Manager so you dont have to Manually install :) or if u need to Uninstall but dont want to do it manually

well that is the main one for me. nad pretty much all i wanted to cover so far. & this is what my package Manager looks like XD everysingle mod that is installed into my lovely Fallout TTW is Within the Package Manager :)

If you have anysuggestions, Questions. or need advice on something please feel free to ask :)

Excellent suggestion!

I do the same thing with 7-Zip. Using the mod manager to apply any and all mods is the way to go. I tend to add or remove mods depending on how I'm playing at any given time as well.

Since I'm new on the forums I am having trouble getting this posted on it's own, but after watching Fallout 3: Kill Everything I just had to reinstall TTW. This is a list of all of the MODs I am using, but I am looking for suggestions on what to add/replace. I included my load order as well just in case. Let me know what you think, thanks in advance!

I haven't had any major conflicts yet, I was just surprised to see 10mm pistols in the game outside of the vault, but I'm pretty sure that it was a balance decision. Am I correct in this assumption?
