Few questions about draw distance setting in fallout.ini

Post by killerbee256 » Sun Mar 17, 2019 3:41 am

I recently discovered that it's possible to change the draw distance settings in fallout.ini. I've been I'm trying to set it so the building cars, grass, trees and bushes don't pop in as much. I've found the setting for objects like building, cars, trees and grass but there are these brown dead looking bushes in the capital wasteland that are still popping in. Does any one which setting in the ini effects them?

Don't change uGrids, you'll break the game and corrupt your save.

I never used TTW but found this forum because I too was having the same problem with those fucking brown bushes. I knew 'tg' console command would toggle grass on/off, so I tried 'tt' and by a miracle, the bushes were no longer. It apparently toggles the trees off, or it culls them. Weirdly enough, I still find trees in the game, but the bushes disappear completely.

The 'tt' command appears to be equivalent to changing Fallout.ini settings to those below:

[SpeedTree]
bEnableTrees=0

It is set to 1 by default, changing it to zero kills all the brown bushes. Hate them.

Hope this can help someone.

Not all trees are speed tree, just some, and the bushes are speed tree.
