Know anything about the original engine?

Post by a2937 » Fri Jun 02, 2017 12:30 am

I`ve been looking through the directory and the resources available on the internet, but I still do not know a whole lot about the engine. Obviously the game was isometric and used sprites for major stuff. I cannot make heads or tales of viewing the map files that have an edg extension. The int scripts have to have a simpler form than the compiled gobbledygook I see in Notepad++.  The sound is relatively simple to make heads or tales of. I don`t get why there are numbers listed in the msg files: is it some sort of array thing index?

Thanks. Hopefully someone can satisfy my curiosity.

Also the game isn't isometric, it's a 60 degree view because it uses hexagon system.
