I only found one topic concerning this so I opened a new one.
Apparently NVHR caused constant crashes in my game. Partially, my specs are certainly to blame because I'm using a weak system at the moment. About every 10-30 min I got a CTD or freeze and the checkbox (if you put the .tmp file from NVHR in your Data folder) showed multiple "heap out of memory" mentions. Since I have removed NVHR there are some lags here in there but I very much prefer that over constant crashing.
I hope this helps someone whose specs are as bad as mine.
